“Voters saw this measure for what it was and rejected it,” said Kelly Nordini, CEO of Conservation Colorado. “Advance Colorado and its anonymous donors spent millions trying to convince Coloradans that our constitution needed to lock in profits for polluters but voters rejected it to keep Colorado moving forward.”
“The election result makes clear that voters want Colorado to keep protecting our health and safety by building on the clean energy progress the state has already made. Colorado’s climate and its energy costs both demand that the state keep moving forward rather than tie itself to the expensive fuels of the past,” said Nordini.
