Amendment 82 is one of eight measures on this year's ballot backed by a group called Advance Colorado that does not disclose its donors. It did not come from Western Slope families asking for help keeping their furnaces. When a measure is sold as protection for ordinary households, it is fair to ask what other interests are driving it, because ballot measures aren’t cheap. It takes millions of dollars to pay circulators to get signatures and make the ballot here. Who’s paying for it?”
